Berries and roses

This weekend I made these bouquets for a lovely bride in white, the maid was wearing charcoal so the virbinum 'Blue Muffin' berry ties the whole look together with the perfect 'David Austin' roses in white and soft pink and the verigated euphorbia.

Autumnal roses

Even in a broken apricot bucket these roses were simply stunning. Worth every cent! Sadly I ran out of time to photograph the bouquets, but hopefully the beautiful bride will send me her professional pics.

Bronnie's wedding

A couple of weeks ago Steve and I ventured to Healsville for Bronnie's wedding to her very own Mr. Darcy! The photos don't do the day justice, but give a little glimpse of the whimsical day. The beautiful & immaculate property was designed by the same man that designed Melbournes Botanic Garden. I have to agree with the brides dad in the fact that that Bron has picked her friends to create this day with love. The vintage picnic theme, Rosie's picnic food, wooden boxes made by Gordie, pinaata by Hootie and Jason and my flowers only enhanced my dear friend Bronnies smile.

Tweedia

I saw this delicate little blue bloom in a florist on Chapel street last weekend. I had never seen it before! No one at work seemed to know what I waas attempoting to describe-very badly, including diagrams- either. Found a photo of this little floret in an old Martha book, but the name 'tweedia' did sound a little faux. Yet here it is....and thats the name from the grower! Happy to be wrong when a new bloom is added to the selection.

Emma's wedding at Como

A whimsical garden wedding at Como house the bride Emma were lucky enough to get a perfect Melbourne day. Round tables on the lawn, market umbrellas, bunting, vintage fans, croquet and a outdoor dancefloor to create the fanciful and playful ambience. To finish the look we used a collection of jars with dove grey ribbon around them, filled with garden flowers in white, mauve, blues, soft pink and purples. The bouquets were created using a mix of all the flowers used in the garden. Enjoy!
